On the river I had discounting him having a nine, and I've put him on a weak ace. I'm screaming at myself "BET THE POT!!" but for some reason I don't, probably because so many times I've been called by stations.

Should I have followed my instincts, or avoided trouble with this guy being a station and me having nothing. Honestly, I thought for ages before checking the river. Is this kind of urge to bluff someone weak bad for my bankroll or something I should be doing regularly in cash games?

Another example of where I KNEW I should try to bluff, but this guy's a STATION!!! He'll just call! Argghhhhhhhhhhh! Lol.

Because it goes to showdown I feel stupid for not bluffing, but since he's gonna call even with a terrible hand, I just have to grit my teeth and.. not bluff, no?

Or should I have bet the river? Remember this guy is an absolute station. Surely not..

First hand, I wouldn't raise KT preflop but if you are mixing up your game and the table is right, its fine if you play it right. However on the flop, you played it wrong. You bet $2.50 into a $8 pot. What does that accomplish? All of a sudden betting pot on the river would be suspicious after betting weak on the flop and checking the turn. You could accomplish the same bluff with a half pot bet and only cost you half as much if you are wrong.

Second hand, raise him to $8 on the flop if you decide to check raise. Either way, I don't like my hand against so many callers preflop I would likely folllow through my check raise from the flop by leading the turn. However, to make this type of move, I have to be pretty confident its gonna work because you are investing a lot of money to win a pot that is mostly your money.

Hand #1---I agree with Brian's comments verbatim.

Hand #2--I'm not a big fan of check raising and then leading out with a check on the next street if you get called. It screams, "I tried to buy it but now I'm scared." You CR to take control of the hand. Most CRs get called (IMHO) because someone isn't quite sure if they are being bullied or not. A nice BTP on the next street lets them know to fold.
