Shortstack gamble against AA

Postby tetsuo » Sat Jul 30, 2005 7:45 pm

What do you guys think of this hand?

I'm happy with my play, but what do you think of the shortstack's?

He's very loose calling a raise with that hand when his stack is so TINY and won't take many misses, but I guess his calling all-in on the flop is great as shortstack gambles go, with it being nearly a coinflip for him to make 2 pair or better (disregarding the chances of an ace, a five or a six hitting).

Which leads me onto something else. If you have 13 outs to make 2 pair or better, but you know your opponent has a big pair so you must dodge his other two cards remaining in the deck, can you just subtract 2 from your outs to compensate, or is it mathematically more complex than that?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed)

Hola! No problem, lol.

I am doing my best to learn at least SOME Spanish before I go to Costa Rica in two weeks.. I'm not having much luck with setting aside any time, though
