I'm ready to quit ring games and just play SnGs

Postby Sunbob » Sat Jul 30, 2005 12:15 am

Well, almost anyway. If this kind of stuff keeps happening to me I will.

Dang - the hand converter isn't working. Ok, I'll try to post it manually.

UB - $25NL. I'm in the BB ($22.90) and have [Qs] [Qh].
UTG1 ($11.20) is a "buy in short and try to double up" player and limps. MP limps and SB completes. I raised $1.25. UTG1 calls and the others fold.

Flop comes [5h] [7c] [5s] .
I bet $3 and UTG1 goes all-in for $9.95.
Chit - what is going on here? I don't believe he has a 5 or he would have just called. If he had AA or KK he probably would have reraised me preflop. Don't know what the hell he has but I think I've got him beat. I called.

Turn and river [Td] [Tc] .

I, of course, have two pair. What does he show?

Anybody want to guess?

[7s] [Ts] - for the runner, runner boat. Tens full of sevens.

I'm getting very tired of this. Maybe I was wrong in calling the all-in. I don't know.

I don't whine very often - at least not here. Just had to get it out of my system. Thanks.

FYI If you're talking about Party, the converter works if you delete the word 'Texas' from the input side before you hit convert.

Sorry Tetsuo but this is from UB. It always has been hit or miss for me and I will admit to being very frustrated last night when I tried to post that hand. It was probably user error more than anything.

BTW, tonight my AA held up to a similar all-in play so my life is back to "normal" (whatever that is).

I know how you feel, Sunbob. I had a helluva bad night last night.

Lost two buyins with JJ. (I'm going to stop playing those guys so aggressively. Walked right into it.)

Came in 4th in a SNG when I couldn't get any luck at all. (Missed a gutshot and openended on consecutive hands.)

Came in 10th in second SNG. TENTH!?! Third level??? Talk about not getting cards. I finally went all in with my last $275 with 2 pair on the flop, losing to 2 higher pair...on the flop.

Oh, I didn't mention losing a buyin with an A high straight to a fullhouse, did I?

Talk about a frustrating night. <sigh>
