33 hand

Postby Jarren » Wed Jul 27, 2005 4:52 pm

Ok I admit, I shouldn't play 33 in this posistion, but this table has been pretty tight.

thoughts?

You played it fine. I like to bet the full pot on the flop and turn, but I knit pick...sorry. I call that once on monday; twice on tuesday. I might even reraise that river, but that depends on my read. ALWAYS limp utg with a small PP and play it for a raise, a set is a set no matter if your seat 1 or the cutoff. Results?

i don't see a problem with your play except as shamrock says, i like bigger bets. I guess he hit a straight on you and slowplayed it to the river. My guess is QT which is more reason to charge him full on the flop.

He turned over KT and i won the hand. I wasn't too excited about the straight draw, but at the same time I was feeling good about my hand

like everyone else said, play the 33 from anywhere. little pairs are probably my favorite hands to play...second only to middle pairs and big pairs.

a flop like KJ3 is ideal. i don't mind the smallish bet on the flop, since you were checked to and there is no flush draw. i think betting more and just winning the blinds would be a disaster. let a J come. turn bet is good, definitely the time to turn it up. of course i wouldn't like getting c/r on the river...but it's an easy call b/c three of a kind beats two pair and it's 3:1 to call.

i actually don't mind KT's river check raise...it just needs to be bigger...and on the turn. ok, his river play is terrible, nm.
