Fcking muppets are killing me!!

One muppet calling my huge QQ raise with A2, rivers an Ace. Stack gone. Next, I turn the nut straight, get action, he rivers a boat. Stack gone. Now I make a limp all-in reraise with AKs after BB makes a pathetic miniraise, he calls with AQo and hits his Q... first day at 0.25/0.5 is turning out to be a real hoot.

Every bloody time I try to move up a level this happens... maybe it's a sign

Oh, I forgot my favorit where I limp/re-raise AQo after a miniraise. Turns out he miniraised with KTo and CALLS me all-in when flop comes J8x, hits a runner runner straight.

And just now, muppet calls my huge KK raise with J6. Flop comes QJx, I btp, he calls. Turn is 6, he minbets, I push (pot size), he calls.

This is some amazing stuff. If I lose one more stack I'm putting my fist through the monitor.

Don't like the "down to the felt" attitude. Quit the second you start feeling like that and come back another day. You'll have more money in your roll when you do.

Well the fact that I lost connection to the server made it very easy to quit. It's back up now but I am not playing even though I'm back to my normal Zen like state of mind. My temper, like my sexual performances, is very quick.

I've decided to make a plan for my advancement and set some long term goals. Will spend a few minutes getting it structured. Will also re-instate some rigid bankroll rules as well as a stop loss system.

Stoneburg....for what it's worth, the one or two times i've sat down at a $50NL Prima table, i've gotten smacked around too. i think the best went like this:

AcQc...i raise. flop comes 10c 6c 3s. i bet....opponent raises, i push. he calls.....with 88. and i don't hit any of my 15 outs.

i think, though i dont have enough data to prove this....that at Prima, the $50NL tables play worse than the $20NL tables. my reasoning is that people with very little money will play the $10 tables....and a lot of people with a little more money play the $50 tables 'cause there's 10-15 full ring games going on at any time...compared to as little as 3 at the $20 tables. i've noticed a lot of people buying in short-stacked to the $50NL tables, and i've been noticing the same (decent-good) regulars at the $20 tables.

Being a prima player too, I agree with ua1176. I make more money on the .10/20 and .50/1.00 than on .25/.50. I turned my original (free)$10 into $850 before losing over $600 on the .25/.50. So, I would rather play .50/1.00 and come in with 1/2 buy-in. Just my take though.
“The real things to know is that folks will stand to lose more than they will to win. That’s the most important percentage there is. I mean, if they lose, they’re willin’ to lose everything. If they win, they’re usually satisfied to win enough to pay for dinner and a show. The best gamblers know that.” - Pug Pearson

The $50's there can be beat and for decent sums of money, at least I've had success at the six max. My approach is normally a very tight one, you will get paid off big on your sets straights and flushes. Over pairs are ok, but vulnerable and play much better in position in a no fold'em type game. You can't force these games, but you will get to see a lot of cheap flops with connectors and suited Aces and a ton of cheap draws to go with the cheap flop, and full implied odds if you don't have direct pot odds. Keep hammering, but pick your spots to hammer really hard.
