Folded a nice hand

Postby CocaCola » Tue Jul 26, 2005 11:29 pm

A hand i played at prima tonight, $200 NL.

Preflop: i look down at [Ah][Td] one off the button
5 limpers
(normally i never play ATo but im trying to loosen up a bit)

Flop: [6d][8h][Ts] $10pot
EP bets $2, folds to me - I raise to $12
Button calls, EP calls

Turn:[Th]$46
EP checks, I bet $29, Button raises all-in $176
the Button dude is vp$ip-14%, agg~2, pf-raise: .7%

I think about it, look to PT for a reason to call- but i fold, he probably has a full house
i asked him what he has, i told him i had AT, the dude said "good" and didn't say anything else

after this hand i get handed some beats and quit, i lose 100 bux to the same dude his set vs my 2pair, only this time he didn't go all-in. gad damn it, maybe he was bluffing earlier

what do you guys think, too weak?

If hes VIP is 14%, hes most likely not playing KT. If his aggression is only about 2, he doesnt raise much so he probably doesnt raise with draws.

I would say its at least 75% that he had a set turned full house. Very good fold.

He didnt go all in the 2nd time because he knows you will fold a very good hand to a huge bet. He wanted to get paid off the 2nd time.

Who was the player? Thats my regular game and I know everyone there.

Even without pokertracker i think that's a neccesary laydown. I might even have checked the turn with all that action on the flop. The board is fairly cooridinated but no flush draws.....i think you're up against at least one big, made hand here.

ibbotsini is the tightest, nutpeddlingist (new word) player in the world. If he goes all in, you are dead meat (unless you have a well diguised monster yourself).

Do not pay that guy off.

Nice fold.

By the way, bluff raise him and watch him fold. Hes very weak tight.
