Biggest winning streak in one poker session?

Postby GodlikeRoy » Mon Jul 25, 2005 8:13 am

Hey everyone,

I've only just started posting here, althought i've been reading the forums for quite some time. I've recently come out of a huge losing streak which lasted almost a week, and it's come great for me in my games today. I've been playing for about 7 hours, and i'm up about 7-8 buyins at the moment. I'm only playing at the NL $25 tables as I only learnt how to play NLHE a few months ago and only started online play about 3 months ago, so i'm starting slow. I know it might not seem like a lot to those of you playing NL 200 etc.. but in terms of buyins, what is everyone's greatest streak in one session?

Would be very interested to see the results =)

At one $50 table: three buyins over the course of one hour. I stacked one opponent twice with middle and top set, and another with the nut straight. The table went berserk, it was awesome. The first dude went on a massive tilt and started pushing preflop with hands like A4s and 88. I think he lost like four buyins before he finally left.

One time I was playing 25 nl and had about $250 in front of me. I wouldnt stop playing until everyone left my table. That was alot of fun.

Palman has a hand history you can find on this site somewhere from a $200NL session that he ran up to ~$5700 on a 6 max table.

I sat down to a $10 game in the spring and beat the game for $130. Last July I was averaging 4 buy ins per session at $100/$200NL, I was playing my A-game daily, winning with and with out the best hand often, making great reads and finding many opportunity to stack off my opponents. That was probably the best extended run I've held together, but I was also seeing my opponents prices more easily, lately they all look like calling stations to me, and consistently finding the good game.
