i get [9c] in LP, MP1 raises to $6, i call along with the BB, flop comes [Th][4h] and the BB leads out for $8, (bb has less than $100 if it matters), MP1 folds, whats the play?

he could be leading out with lots of things....from AA-JJ to a set to a flush to AK w/ the Ace of hearts. i think if MP1 raises, you can let it go. if he calls...its tough. but once he's folded, i think you have to raise. after the BB's bet...the pot should be $26 + the blinds. so...i would raise to about $25 or so and see what happens.

i think the most likely hands at this point are QQ, JJ, or a set of 4's. i think the flush is unlikely because usually the people who call big raises with suited cards while short-stacked are the same people who check their flush till the river. you beat the overpairs, and there's an outside chance your raise will cause 44 to fold.

the bottom line is this: you have no idea currently where you're at in the hand, and a 1/3 pot bet is way too weak for you to be folding to. you need some information and now is the cheapest street to get it.

If I read it correctly, the BB cold called what seems like large bet (x6BB??). Then he lead into the raiser on a scary flop with a 1/2 pot sized bet. I put him on a the QQ-AA hand with probably a heart in there. maybe even a set.

If MP calls, I'm out without hesitation.

If MP folds, then its a toughy, but I lean towards folding. The reason why is you are either going to win a small pot with this or lose a big one (esp. if you just call him down or try to slow it down). I try not to take too much pressure with top 2 pair with a str8 and a flush draw out there. There are betting opportunities.

If you are going to play it, I'd make my stand on the flop. I'd reraise huge and represent the flush. If he calls, I'm out.

I agree with Trodgers. I would reraise to $30 on the flop fully prepared to let it go if he comes over the top. If he flat calls I'm checking the turn and maybe calling a river bet if a 4th heart doesn't come.
