this hand played out yesterday on one of my nl400 tables (snif snif)...

what do you do here? do you call or fold? CO has $195 behind on the river when facing the all in... i think both are ok players and both are capable of making moves sometimes with SB is more move prone... also, what holding other then set do you fold or call here?

you actually are never bet folding there, if you had a jack/ace this is check behind a lot. You dont dare to believe villain is calling a river bet with less than 2 pairs? So your range is weighted towards sets, straights and flushes. So if villain is good enough to know that then i think you can fold it as he'll not assume you'll fold those.

having said that, i think with this aggression factor it is a call.

against habitual draw chasers/slowplayers i think there can be merit to checking this river. if you bet i think its certainly a bet/fold.

against a good reg with whom you have some history i think this has to be a bet/call, and maybe sometimes just overbet shove it in.

against a decent/good reg with no history i think it's a bet/fold.

completely readless against an unknown player i think it's also a bet/fold.
