busted set, bad play?

OK, since I had a couple of these today I think I'll post this one to see if Im really playin crappy or if Its just one of those days.

Villain plays 50% of his hands, and Yes I was pretty sure he was going to bet on the flop if he had anything, if not I would give him one more card to hit something.
Im just below buy-in and he has me covered

Any comments if I screwed this up or if you guys would have let this hand go, would be appreciated

Party 50$

Preflop: Hero is SB with [4c], [4s].
5 folds, BB checks.

Flop: [Qc], [6h], [4d] (4 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, UTG checks, BB folds, UTG folds.
villain bets 4$, hero raises to 8$, he calls

Turn: [7h] (2 players)
Pot 18$ Hero bets 20$ He calls

River: [5d] (2 players)
Hero checks, villain bets 15$ Hero calls (All-In).

Final Pot:

Results in white below:
Hero has 4c 4s (three of a kind, fours).
UTG+1 has Qh 8s (straight, eight high).
Outcome: dude wins .

I don't really care for the min raise on the flop
make that a real raise, give him something to think about

then push on the turn
