I usually just bet/call in spots like this, but I figured a shoved looked stronger like [Ah] that got scurred. I should have bet $1 more on the flop imo.

I'm trying to stay between 1/2-2/3 of pot size in 3-bet pots (obviously I make exceptions with 88 on a 876dd flop or whatever), though betting the flop harder should would make the turn shove a lot prettier. I do agree $16 is better here with the

Yeah, it's a fairly draw heavy flop.

I would be betting less on flops like A72r or 552r or KK8r, etc.

I would be betting more or checking on flops like 678ss, QT9ss, etc.

I would be betting a medium amount on flops like this, or say AT6ss, or 56Tr, etc.
