I am playing at the hole in the wall casino near my mom's house. Weird blind setup with 3/2/2 with the last $2 on the button. I am on the button with . It gets raised to $10 from mp after 3 players limp. 2 callers in front of me so I call. BB comes along so does 1 of the limpers. 5 way pot, flop is , pretty good flop for me. Co bets $25, after it checks to him. I want position and want the bigger flush draws out, so I raise to $50. I have about $600 in front of me. BB who has about $450 makes it $75, another min raise. Co pushes all in which is $80 total. So I have to call $30 more, I am pretty sure BB has at worst 2 pair maybe a flopped str8, but I dont think he has a bigger flush draw than me, he is a pretty ABC player and a remin raise with a flush draw doesnt really fit. So I figure I have 12 outs to bust him, if I miss the turn and he pushs I fold. Turn is , he checks, now I'm not sure what the hell to make of his hand. River is the , the back door flush completed but I have the nut str8. He pushes all in for $300 or so. Now what???

I end up calling after taking a min to think about it, he turns over for the nut flush? Any comments, is anyone else getting away from this at any point? Or is this just another situation where I'm just going to get screwed? This hand sucked, I had a nice rush up to this point, the only way I love anymore money, is to a running flush, if I dont improve the river/turn. I fold to almost any bet, if the board pairs I'm going to get away from it.

I dont call preflop in that situation because I hate situations like this. Alot of people do though and its not a bad play so lets say I did call.

On the flop, I think you need to flat call or raise much more. Alot of people would push all in there. I dont like to keep getting in deeper and deeper like you did here.

[3c] is about the only hand he could play that way and make sense. Has to have a good hand on the flop and the nut hand on the river. I hate calling river all-in overbets without the nuts.

I think you're dead on the river because he's pushing all that money into an empty side pot. If he has any sense at all, it's not a bluff. With a 4-straight and a flush out there, he has to have one or the other of those hands. So the only hand you're beating is a lone 5, which doesn't make any sense with the way he played the rest fo the hand.

But I don't think I could figure it out at the table. Just a crappy hand to have to live through.

Sorry Ice, the villian did have , he was a pretty solid player. I agree and disagree with ice here, I have won a lot of big pots with suited connectors, in large multiway raised pots and like this one and the one at the palms I have also gotten myself in some big trouble with them. I did raise the flop, I wanted to push someone with a bigger flush draw than mine out of the pot, and possibly get me a free turn card as well. I think I have to call the reraise all in and see what the next card is. It is only $45 more to me, I finalize the betting and I'm in postion for the next round. Plus with a player all in, the chances of getting a free look at the river are increased. I think I called a little to fast looking back at my play, I really thought he had flopped the str8 with 45 and after his overbet on the river, I really thought I had him. Tough hand, thanks for the responses. I really need to stop getting myself into the situations, I think I played this ok, this is the only way with our two hands that he gets another $300, this is pretty hidden hand. You said the cutoff pushed all in for $80 so there are 2 hands at showdown not counting yours. What did each guy have?
