As Ice said there are way too many things that go into this but there are some situations where a bluff can work.

One off the top of my head is when you make a late open raise say with something like a KQo and get heads up with the BB. You get a low rainbow flop, he checks and you bet trying just to take it down. You get called, wank. The turn card comes down as an ace. I am betting here. Unless the BB had an ace or has a bullit proof read on me (and anyone seeing my current raising standards will know that is not likely) it will be very tough for him to go on.

Otherwise all my bluffs tend to be when a situation arises that I can get away with it. One thing that is important is to remember your current table image. While you know you play tight have you had a hot streak of cards etc that might indicate you are a bit LAG?This reduces the chance you will get away with it where as if you have just had a cold streak then this is the perfect time to bluff. I will often check on my session stats per table to see how I am looking at make some adjustments accordingly.
