Let's say in a 6max game you get it HU (3-way or more, I'm playing tight). Here's a play that I have disliked the few times I've tried it in a HU match, but I'm liking it in 6max:

If you really like the flop, you obviously bet. But you also bet flops you can't possibly win. Example: You have 76s and the flop comes AKQ with no flush draw. I'm currently liking betting this against most players, possibly consistently. You are likely even to fold some hands that are ahead, like little PPs.

If you win, great, if not, the hand is ultra-easy to forget about. And I think these bluffs should get more callers on value-bets.

What I don't like at all, particularly with position but also OOP, actually, is: You have AQ, flop comes 35T. In that case, I'm for just checking behind. Take the free-card for your overcards, hence in theory also getting opponents to bet into you with a hand.

previous action always dictates whether or not you should c-bet...I care way more about whether my villan liked the flop then I do about whether I liked the flop.

I often do not C-bet flow flops that were unlikely to hit me. Still, I do bet them sometimes so people can't get too much of read on me. I also check behind with a pair sometimes.

I am also much more likely to bet if I have < Ace high. Ace high can be checked down and win sometimes as well as working as a bluff catcher on some boards. If I checked AQ on your T35 board I would not be doing so with the intention of folding the turn. I would be intending on bluffing at any J and K, value betting As and Qs, and also sometimes calling the turn if lead into, even if I don't improve.

The real key is C-bet more when villain rarely check/raises, C-bet less often if he check/raises frequently. Also be prepared to fire again on certain turn cards against the right opponent.

Say you open [5h] on the BTN and the BB calls.

Flop comes [Tc][7c] and BB checks. I tend to fire C-bets in spots like this because I know that if I'm called I'm shutting down 100% of the time.

I'd also C-bet this flop with [3h] with the exact same intentions.

Now, I don't think C-betting this flop would ever be right against a chronic CR'er because they love to CR draws. Similar spots occur on boards like [6h][7h]. Villain knows this misses most of your range badly and he will probably get you to fold 2 overs the majority of the time while trapping your C-bet.
