Straight flush draw, pump it?

Postby bensberg » Tue Jul 05, 2005 9:36 am

$50 NL on PokerRoom

I have [5h] [7h] in the SB.

UTG, MP, LP, button limp, I complete, BB checks. LP has about $10, button has ~$25.

Pot = $3 Flop [4h] [6h] [Jd]

I lead out for $1.5, UTG calls, LP calls, button raises to $6.

I reraise to $14, LP calls all in, and button raises all in. I call.

Turn [3d]
River is a blank.

Is this how you would play it? I felt a large reraise was necessary in case there were any other flush draws. Button had J6s. Do you always pump it on the flop with a draw like this? Is this long term +EV? Thanks for any input.

I would have reraised the buttons raise to all-in right there. You ended up calling an all-in.....which isn't as good as putting them all-in yourself and giving them the option to fold.
Otherwise..we play it about the same.

I agree with Kenny. Lead, get raised..shove it in.
