Should I have just called and hopefully let SmokinPips overcall, and milk some more out of them on the river (assuming they don't backdoor a flush)? I was just SURE that rdbulldozer would call my all-in, and I figured I didn't want to give smokin odds to draw IF by some chance he had two diamonds. Should I have played this slower?

Nope... You played it fine... VERY good chance you have chance66 dead, and there's already a decent pot there... I like the push and isolation...

No reason to let the diamond slide off for "free" when you can pump up the pot now, you might even still get called for better or worse.
