AA hand, am I the luckiest or unluckiest guy in the world...

Did I dodge a bullit here?

Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $.50 BB (10 handed)

MP1 ($13.90)
Hero ($86.85)
MP3 ($28)
CO ($49.95)
Button ($55.50)
SB ($17.30)
BB ($23.50)
UTG ($29.65)
UTG+1 ($119.90)
UTG+2 ($37.80)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with [As], [Ac].
UTG+1 raises to $2, 2 folds, Hero raises to $4, MP3 calls $4, 4 folds, UTG+1 raises to $60.4, Hero raises to $62.4, MP3 calls $24 (All-In), UTG+1 calls $0.

Flop: ($151.55) [6h], [Js], [9c] (4 players, 1 all-in)

Turn: ($151.55) [8h] (4 players, 1 all-in)

River: ($151.55) [7c] (4 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: $151.55

Results in below:

UTG doesn't show.
UTG+1 has Kd Ad (high card, ace).
Hero has As Ac (one pair, aces).
MP3 has 7s 7d (three of a kind, sevens).
Outcome: MP3 wins $84.75. Hero wins $66.80.

Good luck or bad luck, discuss.

Looking at this the hand seems confusing, for the record I scooped about $30 profit on it.

eegit= my new favorite word.

And being lucky never hurt, Rich. Glad you made a profit on the hand!

And all MP was doing there was fishing. <*)))>{ You got all your chips in with the best hand and fortunately were rewarded.

I didn't, innocent! I'm not that fishy!

I was the $4 reraise. $50NL the BB is 50 cents.

My lawyers are standing by for your apology...

If someone raises to $2 and you make it $4, that is a min raise. I would rather see you make it $6 or $8 to go.

Since the UTG player had made it 4xBB I wanted to fire in a reraise but at the same time I didn't really want everyone to fold (as happens heaps of times) since I did want a little action, just not too much. I figure my play should scream high pocket pair but still be enough in for any AK hands to try there luck. Since at the time there was only one player in I really thought it would fold back to him. Had there been limpers in already then I would have raised it right up to $8, maybe $10. Up till this hand the table had been tight and pretty passive with no nut jobs.

I took the min-raise comment to mean I opened by raising for a $1. I've given up trying to be tricky with AA. Rereading I am nugget, my bad.

Rich,
The reason I dont like this raise preflop is it doesnt isolate you with another player, by making it 4 then a PP has odds to call, then who knows what other hands that can crack you call after that because they are getting odds to call in a big multiway pot.
