Thanks. It's at least a consolation to hear that my decision making isn't so bad, but I'm really starting to wonder if this game is for me. I thought it was supposed to be lower variance. I played for another 45 minutes tonight and dumped another full stack.

I had 1 short stack all-in at 95% and won.

I overbet pushed another short stack all-in on a NL08 table. Got called by another naked low when I had the nut low draw, nut flush draw, gssd, and 2 overs. I was 54% and got quartered when his bottom pair stood up for high.

Then the 3rd table I accidentally bought in full stacked and this was the only big hand at that table.

I am not even coming close to my equity on hands that I get it in with and I know I played this hand right because villain was a super donk in every hand. I mean what could he possibly been calling that flop raise with? I mean what is he looking to gain except the perfect turn card to set me up.

plo8/nlo8 variance _is_ lower, but it still doesn't mean that you can't run ridiculously bad. i'm in one of those runs right now, and it really sucks. lots of "you called my all-in with THAT, then HIT, and then i MISS all my fucking REDRAWS?" types of hands.

the important thing to remember is that when you run hot, you're dodging all of these dumbass bullets. even though their equity is often low, they are getting nothing.



btw, the reason i asked about sites is because full tilt has a bonus in january for people who had certain levels of iron man throughout the previous years. that might explain why the tables are loaded with more winning players than usual (at least at my stakes).
