I raise to $7 with [Jc] in the cutoff. The button calls. Hes called every one of my raises for the last 5 rounds or so (about 4 of them). Every pot, Ive CB'd after missing the flop and when i check the turn, he insta bets pot every time. Obv Ive folded since Ive had nothing, but Ive decided to trap him if i hit a hand.

Pot $17. Flop [Jd][8d]. I bet $13 and he calls.
Pot $43. Turn . How do you play this? If I check , hes going to bet $43.

If you're 100% certain that he's going to bet the turn, why would you do anything other than check-raise?

You decide to trap him because you've found an exploitable hole in his play. He calls your flop bets and then bets full pot on the turn when checked to. How else do you plan on trapping him other than checking the turn to him? Betting lets him fold his floats and continue when he has a hand, check-calling lets him see the river for cheap and it doesn't repel him from floating you in the future at all. It also lets him. Also if he does happen to have a hand like Kx, 2pair, or a draw, you will likely not get his stack on a lot of rivers whereas you would by getting it in on the turn.
