The team had 11 pro bowlers because the NFC is horrible. The Cowboys are good but you really think 1/2 of their enitre starting team is pro bowl caliber? Give me a break. Not a single Jaguar made the pro bowl (before Taylor made it as an injury replacement). The Jags are in the AFC and thats the only reason.

The Cowboys overpaid alot of people and didnt rebuild thru the draft during the great years. They are just now recovering as they have finally rebuilt their team. They have a very good team and its the 2nd or 3rd youngest in the whole league so they will be in good shape for several years if Jones doesnt screw it up.

To me, throwing away your future by overpaying aging stars IS a mistake. I would rather have a solid playoff team that just needs a bit of luck and good timing to win it all in any given year like the Steelers, Colts, Pats than win a couple Super Bowls and then do absolutley nothing for 15 years like the Cowboys and 49ers did.

Did you see the Colts overpay Edgerriin James? Nope, they replaced him and have a younger pro bowler in Addai.
Did you see the Steelers overpay Joey Porter? Nope, they replaced him and have a younger pro bowler in James Harrison.

The teams that would mortgage their future for one Super Bowl are the same teams that are clueless as to how to build a Super Bowl team so it doesnt matter what they do. Its not a coincidence that the same teams are strong over and over and the same teams struggle non stop no matter how many top draft choices they have.

If thats true then its not as big as an affect as I thought, but still...how much difference do you think it makes to play SD and Seattle instead of Oakland and SF?

10-6 as opposed to 8-8 makes a big difference.

I AM INFALLIBLE.

Every single time I get a strong feeling about a game, I'm wrong. It's like freaking magic.

Congrats to the Giants, and to their believing fans like mr. ant.

Where the F*** did the Packers' offense go in the 2nd half? Just remarkable.
