Just sat down at this $200 table; opponent is unknown and doesn't seem too active. He has slightly over a full buyin. I haven't played many pots, except for one against a shortstack where I shoved AA and lost 20bb or so.

I get [Qh][Jd][8h] in EP and open raise. Button calls, rest fold.
Flop: [3d][8d]. I lead for $14 into the $17 or so pot, villain thinks a bit and calls.
Turn: . I'm thinking of CRAI but not sure what villains range is and if he will bet or not,
so I lead for $45. Villain thinks again and then raises pot. I curse and push. Thoughts?

This is one of those betweeners that aggression gets you into at times. I dont think you are in bad shape against a wide range of hands. The best he could have is a set there and you have 14 outs assuming your flush draws are good. The only hand that I think has you crushed in AAxx with the double nut flush draw. Other than that, I cant see you being less than 30% equity in the pot (off the top of my head).

I think the turn bet is going to be +ev in the long run. You will get a fold and be even money enough times to warrent the play.
