I wouldnt say often, but often enough. When im the BB and im HU against a loose button who raised me, and the board comes as bad as that, ill make that play a fair amount. On a flop like that, i think my fold equity is close to 50% or even more. thing about this guy too is he was pretty bad - I just looked him back up- he was 60% VP, 25% PF raise, which is the beginning of some pretty solid LAG stats, but then his overall agg factor was 1.09! Which means hes trying to be LAGgy but loses his nuts on the flop - so he puts alot of money in the pot a lot of the time, and then promptly gives up. Players like that get pounded on in SH.
