Ok, I know that playing 66 here in MP w/only 1 caller ahead of me might not be a great strategy, but I had been at this table for a bit a the table was pretty loose passive so I, being the intelligent, able to adapt to situations around me, poker player that I am decided to call with my sixes and let'em go with out any improvement. This hand is not interesting and some might argue to bet the flop or turn in order to be a good, aggressive player, but I played this hand this way and the results are as follows.....

I realize that there's not too much to discuss about this hand but I thougt that it was a nice little example of knowing your opponets and knowing when somebody or sombodies are trying to make a play at a pot with a worse hand. One betting and the other calling on the river did not make any sense to me and I thought I had the best hand. Thoughts?

Well- alls i can say is you def. knew your opponents! I could see calling this headsup, if the one guy mucked, but with a bet and a call, alls i gotta say is you oughta move up in limits with that readin ability...hehe

Mecos, I recently had to cash out my BR due to certain circumstances. I had like .90 cents left on my Poker Stars account and have been playing that for fun. I have got it up to $13 is just under 4k's worth of hands.

I have learned alot of things since finding BTP, and have been putting them into application at the .2/.4 tables and it seems to work.

I will hopefully be able to replace my roll soon, and will take much greater responsability for it. By that I mean not playing outside of it, and concentrate on bonus whoring alot more as well as try to get a solid NL cash game going.

I will probably start a journal when the time comes, so I will put alot more of my story in there.

I still love the K high call down when first to call in a small pot by the BB. He was right that he had the sb beat but there is still 3 guys behind him. Not worth it for him IMO. Damn good read on your opponents. I probably would have bet the turn and checked behind on the river if called.

You're posting among the most aggressive players around here. The reason bri bets the turn is that by two rounds of checking, nobody has the Ace. A turn bet may represent to them that you do, and convince them to lay down their 8, or that you may have made a set with 7's.
