Just discovered a pretty large pool hall in the neighborhood. Seemed to be some betting going on, so obv i'm interested since poker isnt working out so good. I grew up mostly on snooker and a little 9ball though and have only ever gambled on snooker... so that doesnt really do me any good in these parts.

Any of you guys play? What are the usual games of choice for the gamblers? Standard handicapping systems?

When I play a patient and relaxed game I win - that simple.

I love this place!!! I haven't given pool or mu cue much thought since I saw this post. So I decide to do a little digging around online and it turns out some cues appreciate in value. One thing I found out is the Meucci logo on my cue hasn't been used since 1988 or so and they changed their logo after that.

So I contact Meucci and aks if I send them some pics of my cue if they could give me any info on it. Since I bought mine I never really saw another like it so after a phone conversation I ask the person at Meucci if I can send them some pics to see if he can give me any info about mine.

I just got off the phone with them and it turns out my cue is worth about $1K... To quote what was said to me was the guy at Meucci said he would pay $1K for that cue. Who woulda thought.....

US 9 Ball and 8 ball (spots and stripes) is the easiest form of cue sports. The pockets are like buckets, you can't miss.
