Small blind 24/10 raises to $100, 2 callers to me, I call.
SB has $3000, I cover, and other two players have about $2000 to start the hand.

Flop , pot $440.
SB leads for $220, UTG thinks and calls, other guy folds, I call.

Turn , pot $1100.
Checked to me, I check.

River .
Checked to me again, I bet $650.
SB check/raises to $1500.
Other guy folds.

Thoughts?

I cant imagine that he expects you to fold with that small check raise, so hes not bluffing.

I just cant figure out what he has.

JT, KK, QQ and 99 should all bet the turn. Maybe he has [Ts] and isnt worried about a flush card on the river so he checks it to you on the turn? But why wouldnt he bet the river with that?

If he has somethng like QJs, he has to be afraid you have the flush since thats what your line looks like to god and everyone.

I dont know what he has and odds are that he cant call a shove with anything but a boat, so I just call.

call. this looks exactly like [Ts], and maybe some other FD.

its a pretty awful board for him to check 2 pair/set on the turn in a 3-way pot. so i can't really put him on that.

edit: i dont know...im thinking maybe shove. there's really no room for him to fold to a river shove. it's gonna be like $1200 to him to call and the pot will be massive.

KQ also makes sense. Villain may have attemped a CR on the turn but you checked behind.

I'd call but not raise that river bet. If I had KQ I'd bet just like that praying you have the flush and shove.

often in pots i got no idea what the villan has. this is one of those strange pots that i have no idea about.

You beat a bluff. 3 of a kind. a small flush. you loose to boats. .

i would call because the price is right and expect to see a boat.

I called and lost to KQ.

I think it was actually fairly well played by him on the turn and river.

I have two questions which didn't get much discussion:

1) How do we feel about a turn bet when it's checked to us?

2) At the time I was deciding between a call and a fold.
But thinking about the hand I wonder if I could arrange my game so the choice is between a raise and call, and if that would make me a better/tougher/more profitable player.
