How do you "kill" after slowplaying KK/AA preflop?

Postby snok » Sat Jun 04, 2005 3:38 am

Hiya!

When slowplaying KK or AA preflop with the intention of trapping someone for a big sting, how do you actually proceed on the flop?

Depending on what flops, flop action and your position what do you guys do?

Cheerio,
Snok

Eh... I think too many people here advocate slowplaying AA/KK preflop in early, but they have valid reasons for doing so. The one "reason" to slowplay AA or KK is that there is an aggressive player left to act after you. Pretty much no matter how tight the table, if you raise you will get called if they have any pair, and defining hands is the best way not to get killed.

The best way to "kill" when slowplaying AA/KK is by hitting a hand that can take a lot of heat like a set, otherwise you are playing a one pair hand and need to maintain the pot and watch for being beat.
