Yesterdas session I was struggling and down a buyin when it was getting close to quitting time. Fortunately I finished with these two hands... against the same guy!

I've got [4h][Jh][Qs] and it is down to 4-handed. I have $135 and everyone except button has me covered.

UTG limps, button limps, SB completes and I check it.

Flop comes: [9c][7h]

SB leads out for $3.

Ok, SB is a target. He's put in 60bb's once with some junk like 6678 preflop and I've got several notes on him as having poor hand selection and overplaying hands.

I raise to $12. Folded back to SB.

SB re-raises to $30. Wtf...? I don't get it. That's not a pot raise. Why would he make a smaller raise than pot OOP here with deep stacks? Ok, if he has the ultimate hand of [2h][6c][8c] I can see it but he will definetely raise any A2 hand preflop and I have the nut flush draw.

I put him on 77 for some reason. I'm re-raising and getting it in, if he wants to put his stack in against that much strangth fine.

I raise to $94.

He calls. He hems and haws... and calls. W-T-F? How can he *call* with only $41 left to play for? What's he gonna do, check/fold the turn?

Turn comes a brick, the , he puts me in, I obviously call.

He has [4d][6s][8d] so he had the nut straight on the flop.

River is a and I put it in his pooper. He starts whining like crazy, like it was the mother of all suckouts, even though it was 50/50 equity on the flop. I say the swedish version of "Whoopsie daisy"


Two minutes later (literally) it is three handed and I have just announced it is my last hand...

Villain from last hand has reloaded to $200, I obviously have him covered and there's a Bad Lag in there with a bit of a shortstack at $78.

I'm OTB with [2c][4s][Ks], a nice hand anytime and even nicer 3-handed in second best position. I open to $3.50, Bad Lag calls, and villain who is the BB now re-raises to $10. I just flat call as does Bad Lag. BB is of course tilting at this point and I considered popping it again but I decide to see a flop and keep the other guy in.

Flop comes [7c][8c]

Bad Lag checks, BB bets $15. Hum hum. I just call with my nut low and Ace high, hoping that Bad Lag stays in. I've got counterfeit protection and no high so I figure just calling can't be that bad, BB is probably going to go all the way so better to get some more money in the pot from the tourist. Bad Lag calls.

Turn is the pairing the board.

Bad Lag checks again, BB now fires $40, I call but Bad Lag gets out.

River is a and BB shoves for $139. I call although at this point I am realistically worried about being quartered I just can't see myself folding once I get here.

He shows [2d][6d][Jh] so while we split the low my AK is good for high and I quarter him. He lets lose a string of profanity. I tell him he'll get another shot at winning it back some other day. Instead of finishing down one buyin, I end up with almost two in profit.

Had a "mjeh" session where I finished down a bit more than a buyin after an hour and a half. Basically played three hands worth mentioning.

I raise AA58s max in LP, both blinds calls and one of the cock-munching limpers call.

Flop comes Q97 with a flush-draw, BB puts his last 5bb in and cockmuncher raises max after thinking for a while. I have a note on him that he's a retard, playing retarded hands in a retardedly aggressive manner. Fuck it, I raise. He pushes his last chips in. We started with almost double stacks.

BB has QQ53r (Good preflop call, seriously!)
Cockmuncher has T992ds (nice limp/calling hand, seriously!)

Turn is a 2, river is a 6 and my 58 makes a straight. Up yours, dickwad.

Of course he starts whining, oblivious to the fact that maybe, just maybe, T992 is not the sort of hand you should be playing OOP to a big raise.

Retard always wins

I have AQQT double suited and limp behind in LP with a ministack of $16. 6 players to the flop which comes AQ6 with a flush draw I don't have. Checked to me and I bet, now SB check/raises me and gets a caller, I am happily all-in. Not only because I am super short, but because check/raise will never have AA here. He's an overaggro retard and will raise any AA 100% of the time. Unfortunately, I've only seen him play twice and although he plays horribly both pre and post flop I saw him the first time with more than 14(!) buyins and he has almost 5 now. So he always wins.

Long story short... bigstack retard puts the other guy in on the turn, retard has 48JT for the OESD and a club flush draw, other guy has 2357 so I'm looking good until the K hits on the river and retard scoops us all.

Really, he always wins.

I should be so lucky

I'm at $83 and have AJT8 double suited UTG and limp it. 3 limpers then unknown in LP pots it. Blind calls and I know that if I call, the limpers behind me will probably follow. retard from last hand is behind me and will definetely call. I call, so do they, so SIX players put in $7.50 preflop, so almost $50 in the pot already.

Flop comes 468 with my nut flush draw. Fuck.

Checked to retard who thinks it is a good idea to fire $17 into this. Then another muppet pots it which means ~$100 and gets a caller and it is back to me. Fuck.

Pot is huge alrwady, we will most likely be 5 players all-in, I have the nut flush draw... but a made low is out so I am drawing to half the pot. Fuck it, I put the chips in. Retard pushes and muppet calls.

Ok, retard and cold caller has A2xx with no highs and muppet has 688Qr for top set. Turn is a 4 and river is a heart giving me the flush but of course the muppet with 688Q has already made a full house by then.

Haven't run the equity figures but hopefully I didn't make a post flop mistake, frankly, I just wanted a chance to get a HUGE stack to be able to break the retard. Since I lost, I felt it was time to quit instead.

It was a bad day at the tables today, at least so far. I played 2 hours and lost $300, which was actually more than 3 buyins since I played at the $40 tables as well as the $100's.

The anatomy of a losing session of this magnitude is always the same. It starts out with some suckouts that induces bad play that induces tilt that induces more bad play and losses. I think that mixing in some MTT's was a BIG mistake. For some reason I tilt much more easily from tournaments than cash games. I guess it is the finality of it?

Played two MTT's and a total of three hands.

Hand #1
I have 88. Guy who doubled up and then some raises 7xBB in MP. I consider folding but it's pretty much exactly 5% of my stack and I figure with that big raise he has a big hand he is willing to go broke with, so I call with position. Flop brings a K and he checks, I check. Turn is another K, he checks, I check, river is a brick and suddenly he bets twice the pot. I fold.

Might seem like a weak play but I went into the hand with the mindset that if I didn't flop a set I wasn't losing a chip more than I had already invested. The way he played it I'm not sure, but he could well have had AK or KK, unless he was bluffing a missed AQ.

I've been moved to another table just now and pick up AKs in the BB. EP makes a 4x raise, I re-raise rather big and he calls. Flop comes KQT and I push, he has TT and I miss. Bye bye.

Second tournament starts immediatly and I am steaming. Pick up AJo in the SB, bunch of limpers so I jack it to 6x, now BB miniraises me and some idiot cold calls a big raise and a re-rasing after limping behind in MP. That fact alone pisses me off so I call. Flop comes Qxx, I check, BB minibets into the huge pot. Moron calls. I figure it looks a lot like a retard with AK so I push, BB snap calls with AA and MP calls with what I'm guessing is something genius like 44 or Q8s. I leave the table before I see the final results.


I also fucked up royally in 5CD in another tilt-inducing way. I raise OTB with QQQxx, BB calls and draws 3, I draw 2 and don't improve. I've been bluffing a lot so I get no respect. He now pots into me. I figure he improved to two-pair and doesn't want me to check behind, and I raise the max, he now puts me all-in and maybe I should fold but I was getting like 8:1. He shows KKKK, managing not to just hit trips to outdraw me but going for the show-off quads.


PLO8 was simmilarily frustrating. My favorite was when I flop a set with AA on a drawy board and decide to play it slow and see a safe turn, board is AT4 with a diamond draw out. I check, there's a small bet from LP and I call along with everyone else.

Turn is another 4 giving me the nut full with no low possible yet, I check, ciomplete retard that I hate who is in LP decided to make a gay bet of $5 and I check/raise the max. He calls off his stack with 23xx for the low draw with a drawing-dead gut shot for high. Of course he hits and gets half the pot. I'll put the Sklansky bucks in a bar and see if I can buy a pack of smokes with them in Egypt this autumn.


I cut the session at the two hour mark to not tilt off more money. Not a good start to the month, I'm behind the target both money and time wise. Gonna play some Homeworld II or Civ IV now...

Civ IV just keeps freezing up and Homeworld II didn't seem like any fun so as usual when I lose I played a second session to get some money back.

Early in the session I had an amazing anti-heater. I lost at least 5, maybe 7 big pots in the manner of a couple of minutes. I was actually dizzy. Can't recall the hands at all but if I have the energy I'll look them up tomorrow. So I dug myself another $300 hole within the first twenty minutes.

I just kept on grinding and grinding and was slowly, slowly working my way up. With half an hour left of the session I found myself even, and shortly after I was actually up a buyin in total but couldn't really remember how that happened either. So much for hand analysis.

Got a bit of a headache and smell like crap. Not feeling all that good really. Also I was just dying for some nicotine and since I've stopped smoking and all that... well, I ended up pillaging the ashtray, recycling the butts and rolling new and quite disgusting (but strong as hell) smokes. Fortunately the GF is away...

Started downloading some movies and a series called "Jericho" that I haven't watched. Taking the dog out for a quick walk and then I'm going to clean myself and watch whatever gets downloaded first in bed.

Oh and could someone comment on the hands I post? Feedback is +EV.

I'll consider adding not doing that to my arsenal of moves.
