Villain appeared to be a solid player, but I had never played him before so I didn't have any PT stats on him. Looking back, I blew it by not making a firm read/decision when I called the turn bet, because the pot size would proabably put him all-in on the river. I think he only beats me with KK, JJ, or 77, but his betting didn't seem to support 77 or any flush draw hand (I originally put in on a KJ). I've been working hard lately to play a tighter game, but I'm now wondering if I am getting weak-tight and folding too much. Also, I had just got beaten with a set over set, so I bet out on the flop (maybe a little on tilt with this). I'd appreciate your thoughts...

Raise more on the flop? You're giving some attractive odds to villain to draw. Make it $30-$40 to go. Then if he calls, you can bet $70-odd on the turn and pot-commit yourself.

As played, definitely reraise the turn all-in. At that point, KJ seems more likely than JJ (or KK). I'm mystified by the river push ... if he had a big draw, he certainly played it strangely.

why so passive w/ bottom set? you should raise more on the flop, so CO or BB don't come along. don't get cute on that board. and as others have said, get it all in on the turn.

call that bet on the river, he has KJ. if he has KK or JJ, well that sucks. i guess he could have the flush, but you beat a lot of hands, and are getting good odds.

its an unraised pot so KK and JJ are unlikely so I'm thinking he had KJ. Raise more on the flop to about 35 or so. Bet near the size of the pot on the turn and go all in to that raise?

There is nothing for you to be worried about on the turn. If you didn't have him beat there, you don't have him beat on the river because he didn't have that flush. If you truly believe he has you beat on the turn, fold (although I definitely wouldn't in this case) rather than call and then fold on the river. The river didn't improve him. Push that turn.
