I picked up the name in college (pronounced jooskimo) and at some point before law school there was a group of friends who shortened it to just the joos part. The problem is that if you write it jewskimo, the shortened version is pronounced jews and not juice. There are people who call me juskimo and people who just call me jus (juice). I suppose I need one of those crazy linguistic symbols over the u to make everyone understand that it is a long vowel.
