2) yes, i've done this by playing live and playing with the following rules

a) never look at my cards until someone has raised me
b) make the minimum raise preflop if no on has raised (without looking at my cards)
c) postflop, make the minimum bet (still without looking at my cards) if checked-to...someone leading counts as a raise and I get to look
d) once I look at my cards, I can take any action I want (standard poker begins)

I've done this twice and won both times...people pay you off like a slot machine and don't realize that when you are in a big pot, you prolly have the goods.
