Out of the Eklutna tail race this morning. 36", approximately 24 pounds, so a bit on the smaller side. Beautiful female king salmon, just starting to turn from silver to pink.

Here is the meat side of the fillet.

Caught her on a red tiger striped #6 Blue Fox Vibrex (which she tore up pretty well in the process).

First king of the year, first fish of the year. Extremely tasty. Hopefully more to come.
