The latest poll showed Al Gore would do better in the Presidential race against Guiliani than any other Democrat. If he goes up in the polls, he will get in the race. By now, even he knows he is boring and he is doing so much better on the talk shows. He looks very relaxed. If he really did enter the race this late, it would show a terrific strategy.

Meh- I do agree with you that academic records are by no means a dispositive factor in judging peoples intelligence. However, I don't buy that some people are "bad" at test taking, and some people are "bad" at school but nonetheless very "intelligent." I think in cases where ostensibly 'intelligent' people fuckup in school, its a result (as you implied) of thier own stupid mistakes/mismanagement, and/or them lacking interest or motivation to continue on with whatever it is, because they would rather be doing something else, etc. etc.

However, in algores case, i assume he was always aspiring to be a politician/senator/wtf-ever, and if this is true, then making it through law school would be very helpful to him in his goals, and conversely, flunking out would be detreminental to his goals, since it would obviously be on his record, and the records of aspiring politicians are always under scrutiny. Same with the divinity program, to a lesser extent. Though it may not help him towards his goals all that much compared to being an attorney, flunking out of a program like that looks just as bad if not worse as flunking out of law school.

Also, the fact that he flunked of of LS rather than just dropped out is another indicator that it was more likely to be a product of not being able to hack it, as opposed to just being severely disinterested. Severely disinterested people just drop out, especially if they care about thier record as much as algore did/shouldve, rather than actually flunk out. Most of the time, people quit before thier fired in situations like that, and the fact that he didnt again indicates to me that he couldn't hack it.

So combine the fact with it seems like he couldnt hack it along with the fact that i am sure he probably tried to, given his aspirations and major motivating factors in favor of trying to, and no factors in favor of not (i.e. he didnt have a flourishing side business or other job that wuold justify him saying, meh fuck this), i have to conclude that he tried to hack it and couldnt.

This makes him majorly different from alot of the people that I (and you too most likely) know, who went to school and said fuckit for whatever reason, and went onto do other things sucessfully. If you really try and fail to maintain passing grades, you are a fucking moron, hence why i think hes a fucking moron. Like i said, W maintained a C+ avg or some shit in an MBA program, prolly got the grades handed to him too and all the help/tutoring his daddy could buy him, and he managed to get by. And al gore couldnt. IMHO, i think the conclusion he is a goddam idiot is virtually inescapable.

Meh...i looked around and from what i gather, he failed five out of the 8 classes he took in divinity school... parently dropped outta lawschool after completin 2 yrs...meh, i dno if that says anything...
