i open-raise to $8 w/ [4s]. Button calls. never seen him before....only have about 20 hands on him but he seems passive (as though 20 hands means anything. he has $130 and i cover.

flop: T76 rainbow.
pot: $18

i bet $14. he calls.

turn: A, putting two hearts on board.
pot: $46

i bet $36. he calls.

river: offsuit 4
pot: $118

he has about $70 left. what's the best play?

shove and it's not close

I don't know, but the way he played he either has a draw (which he would have hit with the 4) or he flopped the straight, i woudn't bet on the river and probably give up

Shove...not even close...if he were agro, it's check-call or shove...about 50/50...but if you have a passive read, enjoy your likely suckout and push (if you were beat, then meh!).

i wasn't worried about being behind, unless the river changed something. even weakies will raise the turn with something better than 1 pair.

so i shoved and ran into 85 for the rivered straight.

i am running real bad these past 2 weeks. maybe i'll play more PLO for a bit. the FT PLO is pretty easy so far.
