So $33.50 to win $53 vs an idiot. About 1.6-1
If he has the flush, I still have 7 outs to the nut flush (2.6-1)
If he has anything else, including an Ace, and he is a retard remember, I have 12 outs. (1.2-1).

I call. This is a pair + flush draw so often including all PPs with diamonds so his range is enormous and you're ahead of it.

I'm being semi-sarcastic of course. Obviously I wouldn't fold after . The more I think about it though, I'm now thinking that checking that flop might be the better play. Unfortunately, I don't have the couple of hours it took me to reach this conclusion while playing at the table.

Reason: Of course, immediately my first instinct is to bet, but there are probably very few hands that even and idiot would call me with that I beat here. A lone ? What could they possibly be drawing to that beats me? If they have an Ace I'm behind and if they have the flush I'm behind. So I don't know. Maybe the check is the best play?

But I can't change it now and check it, so as played, who still calls?

If he's that bad then you will probably have a better spot but it's still a tough laydown. I'd probably call but it is probably slightly hier EV to fold.

As played, when I'm "running good" I fold and when I'm "running bad" I call. Making that flop bet means I'm probably running bad (tilted, shouldn't be playing) so I probably call. I hope that was the next card out when you called!

I never even thought of the possibility that I might only have 5 outs. Should I have even considered it or is it like quads? Something that doesn't happen nearly often enough to ever concern yourself with. (I only mean hands using both hole cards of course.)
