Answer to "a" is: it depends

My laptop has an easily ejectable wireless card so I can switch it in 3 seconds. YMMV.

Answer to "b" is: Definetely.

If you have doubts about your card, checnge it. It's not that expensive, especially not when compared to having some donk push into you when you hold the nuts and watch yourself time out.

A: the answer is found here :

B: have you eliminated common interference? 2.4 Ghz cordless phones are a common culprit. Most wireless routers let you change the channel being used.
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

If you want to check your signal strength, is supposed to be good.

If you want to try to diagnose/fix the problem, get the model numbers for your router and wireless card and plug them into google.

I'm assuming it's wireless-N.
