I never chop. And I completely believe it is +EV to NOT do so. The rake is neglible. Also, not chopping will often make the sb/bb pissed off and do somethin stupid.

Example:
Im playing 2/5 NL at Bellagio and its my second hand at the table and im in the SB. FOlded round to blinds. BB says "chop." I say i dont he seems a lil upset by this. I have [Kd] [Kh]. I just complete in the SB and as expected he raises me to $25. I CR to $100. He calls.
FLOP
[Ts] [4d] [8h]
I lead $150 inot $200 pot. He thinks for a long time and calls.
TURN
[2s]
I push my last $250 in and he calls pretty quickly with [As] [4s]. River is a blank. Ship It.

FYI.... chopping started as way to speed up games when most games were raked on a per hour basis.
