$2/$5 Live. Im getting cold decked. I have $350 and Im about to reload but play this hand 1st.

I made some bet or some raise and someone says "Youre one tight bastard" and folds.

A few hands later....

EP limps, Button raises to $20. His button raise means nothing. I make a loose call in the SB with [3h]. EP also calls.

Pot $65. Flop [4d][2c]. I check, EP bets $30. Button folds and I call. EP stinks and I think I can take it away from him.

Pot $125. Turn . I check, he bets $40. Looks like he has something like JT to me. I check raise to $200. I have about $100 left. I grab it and say "I only have this left, I might as well put it in also"....knowing full well I cant do that. The dealer tells me I cant bet the last $100 so i take it back.

Thoughts?

Does EP limp weak hands like JT UTG, call raises, and donk into the PFR with TPNK? I really doubt he has JT. If he has a T and he really is as bad as you say he has AT or KT.

Edit: no straight card on turn, just the board pairing middle pair. That is an easier card to bluff than a 6 and it reduces villain's set options. I still think villain will have a hard time putting you on a 4.

The extra acting job seems more likely to induce a call rather than a fold especially since you have a losing image right now.

I personally think that this was a very nice way of making the villain fold in Live game... Especially after he heard the "you're tight bastard" part and now doesn't know what to think anymore except that he is probably beat unless he holds TT, which I highly doubt... He can think that you're still tight and doing this with something that is very strong even on this board, and he can think that the comment made you loosen up your play and that you in fact hold something like [4h] and not the ... What I meant is, I think the act was great and that he folded all but the highly unlikely TT or 33...

Oh ya...dishonest angling is VERY bad form...remember when I posted that fake hand about slowrolling...this is JUST as bad - AND YOU ACTUALLY DID IT

Good angles are when you say "If you push, I'll call"

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't call the floorman in a live casino if it happened, I just frown on the application.

(I actually have seen a similar situation, and fisticuffs almost ensued when it was revealed that the play happened on purpose.)

I also frown on the implication that slowrolling is worse.
