5-handed, effective stacks $160. Villian runs at 26/12.

1. I raise UTG to $4 with [Jh]. Villian calls.
2. Flop [9c][3d], BB checks I bet $7 BB calls.
3. Turn comes . BB checks I check behind.
4. River , BB leads $21 (full pot),

I don't understand this bet at all. I don't see what he thinks he can get value off of with a 9 or Q, and I don't see why a pp doesn't try to check it through. Any help and anyone call this?

Right now I'm half with Dan and half with Black_Knight.

I call this all day b/c you see a lot of mid PP's here from villian. This is a flaw in many players - On the river, they bet with marginal hands that have showdown value and if called, they will only be shown better hands. The thought process is something like - "Heh, he checked behind - he must have AK. River is a brick, my 22 is good, I'll bet - woot." His best play is probably c/f.

His play doesnt make sense - so take advantage and call.

I fold here. Too much guessing he could have gotten lucky with 66 also.

Unless he is overly agressive I would call but in this case he is betting for value I think.
