Ramblings from my last live session

Postby iceman5 » Thu Apr 05, 2007 7:36 am

1) I lost $375 on the very first hand I was dealt. THAT SUCKS! I misplayed the hand.

2) 3 hours later I was back to even

3) For the next 7 hours, I stayed right around even and had the worst run of cards Ive seen in a long time. The last 3 hours I won 2 pots. The 1st one I limped in with [Kc][9c]. The flop came 6 way and it got checked all the way down. My K high was good. The other pot I raised with [7h][6h] after a limper and they all folded. I showed because they all thought I was a rock but I really just was totally card dead. Those were literally the only 2 pots I won or 3 hours, but I didnt lose much money since i was just folding every hand.

4) I was on a 9 live session winning streak with the smallest win being $470. This is my very last hand of the session. Im down $60. I limp [Tc][7c] after 3 limpers.

The SB raises to $20. 2 guys call so I call. Raiser and I both have about $900.

Flop comes [9h][8d][6d]. Raiser checks, LAG maniac shoves in for $110. I call obviously. Raiser says "I know I have you beat" and then looks at me and says "but I cant beat you" and folds. LAG has [9d][4d] and rivers the flush. My winning streak ends because I cant win after flopping the nuts with a hand that nobody in theie right mind wouldve put me on. ARGH!!!!!!!!! If I win this hand, I win $100 for the session and the streak continues.

5) Stupidest move Ive seen in a while. Middle Eastern guy who literally limps every hand and calls just about every raise, limps in with [As][4s]. I missed action up to the turn but the flop comes [Ah][4d][8c]. Turn is the [4h] and the pot is about $100. Middle Eastern guy checks and a guy shoves all in for $900 into this $100 pot. . Obviously ME guy calls. Dufus has [Ac][Qc]. NH moron. Why cant someone do that to me?

6) My table breaks to 5 handed. I hear a loud argument at another 2/5 table and before I know it, the 2 guys who are arguing and another guy come to my table. The 2 guys are both grumpy old men (GOM). They both wanted to move to my table but the floor wouldnt let them because it wouldve made their table shorthanded. They threatened to quit so he let them move.

Both GOM continue to argue at my table. They are rude and obnoxious and the table is becoming like a morgue. Its very annoying. One GOM plays pretty well but is rude to everyone. Then this hand comes up.

Limped pot with a 543 flop. EP bets $35. GOM hasnt acted yet but 2 more guys call the $35. The dealer deals the turn card which is a 2. Then GOM calls the $35. Floor gets called and he tells the dealer to reshuffle the 2 back into the deck and deal a new turn card, which is an ace.

EP bets, GOM calls and a LP player calls

On the river they all get all in for $200 or so each. Big pot.

I put GOM on 22. What other hand could he call the turn bet with on a 5432 board that he still wants to call and get all in when the turn card is now an ace?

He tables J2 and splits the pot with EP who also had a 2. The following conversation ensues.

Ice...."why did you call that turn bet when the turn card was a 2?" (he had been playing well and I was confused and just making conversation which was obviously a mistake)

GOM..."Thats none of your goddamned business"

Ice......."youre right its not, I was just asking a simple question. If you dont want to answer then dont answr but you dont have to be an asshole about it"

GOM...."This asshole will come over there and kick your ass"

Ice......"Well, come on over here then, Grandpa." ( I estimate his weight at exactly double mine)

Dealer....."FLOOR ON 14 !!!!!!!!"

Floor..."Whats the problem?"

Ice..."Seat #1 is an asshole and is being ruse to everyone and Im fed up with it"

GOM...."Oh, Im the rude one?"

Ice...."Ask anyone here"......(everyone starts shaking their heads agreeing with me)

Floor...."We dont need any problems here guys"

Ice...."I dont want any problems either but if that asshole threatened to kick my ass. He either needs to commence to kicking or get the hell out of my face"

GOM....."THIS IS BULLSHIT, IM LEAVING".....

Ice....."SEAT ON 14 !!!!!!"

GOM shows back up on another table about 5 mins later with $300 after leaving my table with $800 or so. Typical asshole behavior. He ratholes some money and comes back.

Good times at the poker table.

Why did you let him change tables and buy in short? I let my GOM do it because he wasnt at my table so I didnt really care enough to worry about it, but I wouldnt let someone come to my table and do it. Especially if I knew they sucked.

Thats only one player. What does the rest of the table look like? And how do their stacks look?

Theres also always the option of asking for the 1st seat change.
