I had some history with this opponent, he is semi-regular, not very good though.
He likes to call with marginal hands, once he called my flop and turn bets with a small PP on a low flop (I had QQ) and hit runner-runner straight on the river.
He also CR some of my CB with hands like TP on a low flop.

I don't remember a major hand played with him when I was OOP and he raised me on flop.
Effective stacks, 500.

What is your plan on the rest of the hand?

I'm not sure from your description if you think he would take this line with a hand like T9 or A9 or if he would consider this marginal and go into check-call mode. So I'm hesitant to say you're ahead of his range. If he would indeed take this line with top pair or with a draw then I think your hand is too good to fold.
If you have a good enough read on him you may just call and try to outplay him on the turn since you have position on him.
The problem with pushing seems to be that you make his life a lot easier and that he will probably fold most hands you beat and call with two pair, sets, and strong draws only.

The guy sounds like a calling station station judged on that previous hand you posted about him sucking out runner-runner with small PP, so I doubt he is raising 7-6, 10-7, or J-10. So that puts his range as a Set, 9-8, or 1/2 high 's, or A-9. The only hands you beat are A[s]-x[s] and K[s]-x[s], which you are only barely ahead of, and you crush A-9.

I can't advocate a call because then you are forced to lead the turn all-in even if a non-spade comes (based on how deep you are both stacked).

If your read is the guy is a calling station, I fold. Calling station probably wouldn't even raise A[s]-x[s] or K[s]-x[s].

Call and either lead or CRAI a lot of turns.
