how much juice do you charge / have you paid?

Whats the standard kinda rates amongst poker players?

I have a friend who I sometimes loan to from the bottom of my bankroll.

I used to see him yrs ago at our uni poker sociecty but never see him any more (other than msn). Though he does live in my city. Risks: I dont know any of his friends/family, but Im very certain he's good for it and is very low risk. I wouldnt lend money to hardly anyone else for poker. (...only also to my brother and a close friend)

Ive lent him $500-1k several times and have never had a fixed rate of juice, will just say yeh pay back 50 or 100, 75 or w/e... generally its 5-10% But Im thinking of setting a fixed rate?

So what juices do you charge, or have you received?

Ive only borrowed money for poker once, $1k to start me off and paid it back 3 months later. He didnt ask for any juice but I bought him a poker book (not much I know but I was only playing $50nl and unemployed at the time)

Personally, I don't charge or pay. I have a handful of people who I feel comfortable shipping thousands online to and fro. I do it with them both ways, with no juice.

I also sold tournament lammers to internet legend and superstar Empire2000/Roman.

Uhm....isn't this completely illegal? I think it's called loan sharking lol.

Here's an idea. Ask for a % of any profits until he pays you back.

I sell lammers for full price if I can, 95% at the lowest. I don't loan for poker. I would stake the right person, but that would be 50% of profit and I take 100% of the downside risk.

A friend of mine charged 5% per week juice or vigorish on a loan. He loaned lots of money around big poker games. He was very wealthy and never worked a day in his life. Some people would borrow, win some and pay him back, get broke and borrow again. I borrowed a few times but I never got behind on the juice.

This guy had a terrible reputation for being tough and most were afraid of him. He talked real tough and knew all the outlaws. However, I never ever heard of any violence or troubles. If somebody did not pay the bookies or the loan sharks, nothing really happened because that is the only real way they can get in big trouble with the law.
