villain is Bertkc. occasionally a spewing tilt-monkey but often a solid + very aggro winner. i stacked him a few days ago when i raised QQ OTB, he 3-bet from blinds. i called. flop J74 and he bet/called my shove w/ K4o. tonight i stacked him again when my 64 flopped trips vs. his FD + 2 overs. tonight he seems to be playing in good mode, not tilt mode. still very, very loose.

he raises to $4 from CO. i call in SB with [Td]. BB shortstack w/ $30-ish calls too. villain has $250 to start and i cover.

flop: [Jh][8s]
pot: $12

check, check, bert bets $10, i call, BB calls.

turn:
pot: $42

i bet $28, putting BB all in. he calls, bert calls.

river:
pot: $120-something

i check, Bert insta-pots. my action?

i'm sure you don't want to hear it, but KT in the SB against a solid aggro is not really a hand i want to be involved in.... unless i'm reraising preflop.

I would fold preflop, but once I got to the river, Im calling.

Does he wave a big red flag just before he "goes nuts? How do you know this isnt the hand he went nuts with?

I doubt he is "insta potting" with a backdoor flush. I think that your turn bet confused him. Now you check the river like you dont have a K. Maybe he has [Ts], but I doubt it.

I think he has KQ or something like AJ or a missed draw. Youre the one at the table but if he has a tendency at times to blow up ala Matusow, im calling.

i undersized my turn bet specifically because he would just LOVE to raise against any perceived weakness. when he didn't raise i actually got pretty worried.

also....it's a dry sidepot. in order for a bluff to be worthwhile he has to specifically think that he's behind me but ahead of the 3rd player.

bert's AK is good. shortstack mucked.
