First time i played with CO & SB who both have been quiet, taking pots here and there, TAGs and each has $400+ (SB bought in for $200; CO is in for $300). BB is a passive aggressive, ok player, raise with any PP, makes bad calls from time to time and has < $200. I have < $97 after taking two beats costing me $300. Played this game 3 times now and have a TAG, solid image.

I'm dealt , folded to me, i make it $16. CO & SB call, BB raises $20 more. I call the $20, CO folds, SB calls.

Flop: ($124, 3 players) : .... SB & BB check to me, I go all-in for $61. SB calls, BB folds. SB shows .

Turn and River were trash. My biggest question is this, should i have called the $20 PF re-raise or should i have just gone all-in? There were arguments at the table for just calling and other saying i should have pushed all in.

why are you sitting with $97 at a $2/4 NL table? i would rebuy immediately if my stack was that low.

Well, I agree with ua in principle, but it's also possible to play short-stacked.

In this case, I think it's either all-in or fold, and I can see both to a raise. You don't have odds to set with a short-stack, so you pretty much have to decide if you're a big underdog or a slightly favored coinflip. I tend to go with fold.

Basically, short-stacked, if you want to continue without rebuying, big cards and big pairs have more value, and it's less of a big deal if you happen to guess wrong and are dominated.

99 is a bit borderline, though, unless you have a read that the re-raiser has something like AQ or AK, and I suppose the mini-raise makes it almost ok to call (I don't think you're quite getting odds to set, but it's close).

yes its a push or fold due to stack size. you don't have enough money to chase for set value and you are more likely to win heads up than 4 way as you calling will pretty much bring the other two in no question.

If youre only going to call for a set, then you cant call $20 when you only have $95. Pure math.

If you call and the flop is J63 and he bets pot, what are you going to do?

you have 25BB and any pf raise you make pretty much commits you to the pot. And certainly calling this weak reraise commits you 100%...just push.
