That's a tough spot and without knwoing the dynamics, it's hard to give a good advice.
Anyway I don't like a push here. You won't be called by a worse hand and you won't make a better hand to fold. So the choice is between calling and folding, I am more inclined to call here and lead turn weakly, hoping to induce a push from aggresive opponent.

P.S. You shouldn't play that high anyway. The last post of yours I've seen was at 100NL, and you were unsure what to do in a fairly easy spot.

Did you see that Hero is only sitting with 80BBs? MP has already put 40BB in the pot, I think if hero calls and leads a turn, there is almost zero chance that MP will bluff because he will think he has almost no FE. You also let him have a chance to hit a Q, K or A on the turn. I would be happy to push and take down the pot here.

Of course it doesn't really matter what cards you have then as it's effectively a bluff. There is a small chance you get called by 88-TT and he will call with the nut flush draw which you're ahead of, but apart from that, your raise would be a bluff.

Theres no correct answer for this hand. Hes going to have a bigger pair than you sometimes, hes going to have 6 outs sometimes and hes going to have some other wierd hand sometimes (which may or may not have alot of outs).

You should check / fold sometimes.

If indeed John is an inexperienced player and is raising preflop a lot (15%+), then this could easily be an isolation play by a strong MP player. That increases the chances that this is air. If that's the case the push may be best.

IMO this hand relies more on MPs opinion of John than John's read on MP.
