FLOp. $5.5 9 - 4 - 2. Two spades. I bet $4, Villain raises to $9, I reraise to $23 . Villainsthinks and pushes, Hero folds.

This was in Bodog. I had no read on Villain because I had only been in the table for a couple orbits. He seems tight and hadnt done anything out of line.

I played the exact hand on the cryptos and called. I think it was a bad play. The question is if my 3bet against an unknown is recommended on this kind of flop. I think that if I was going to raise it had to be stronger, but I felt that a bigger raise was only going to ake pot committed.

What else are you going to do? If you just call, SO many turn cards are gross...and you can't just call for set value - the almighty 2 outer. So it's reraise or fold. I don't mind the 3 bet AT ALL. Folding to the push is fine...so is calling sometimes, but I want a read to make the call. Against a sufficiently agro person who will pound TP or draws, I'm in there...against ABC TAGs, it's a fold.
