Another thing I have learned about table talk is against all but the LAG/Ego type I think it induces more of a fold than a call.
If your opponent is thinking of what to do after you raise and you say something like , "I've got the best hand."
Now he's faced with a whole new set of problems. He was thinking about a call which probably means he's not overly strong. He has new information to digest which just means it's more complicated and more to compute. He's likely to fold just because of info overload and also because he doesn't want to look like an idiot and call and then be shown that you really did have the best hand.
I do this time and time online and watch people fold when I just add a little table talk.
However, against a LAG egocentric guy, I think this is the exact opposite.
