Its been 6-7 handed for a couple rounds. Ive open up a bit. Ive raised with 33 and 66, CB'd the flop with nothing against 2 callers and took it down both times. I showed one of them. I raised [9s] and got 2 calls. I checked the [Jh][6d] flop behind. Turn was the . They checked and I bet 3/4 pot and showed when they folded.

A few hands later.....

#6) I raise to $20 with [Js] on the button. An asian guy reraises to $70 in the SB. Im almost positive he has AA / KK. Hes limped AK at least twice and I doubt he will reraise OOP with it. Hes also the type to call a raise with any ace. He won a big pot and a MONSTER pot this way. He has about $2000 and I cover. My deep stack play probably needs serious work but its probably better than his. I call and say "you better be careful, I have alot of money here. If I catch the right flop Im taking that whole stack"

Pot $145. Flop [Jd][9c]. I say "thats my flop". He leads $70. Whats my play? Obviously Im raising...how much and whats my plan for the turn when he calls with KK?

i'd make it $200-300. enough to build the pot for later streets but not scare him away..after that raise you should be able to get your stack in w/ decent size bet on the turn... and a push on the river giving him fairly decent odds.

I really think quiet is generally good, although you can sometimes provoke a few tells or frivolous actions with table talk. I think it's very hard to do, though (for me anyway), and you also risk giving more tells than you elicit--at least for the few players capable of interpreting them.

I think mystery creates fear, and fear creates bad play from your opponents. So, unless they pay, I think it's pretty safe to be as mysterious as possible.

I think I played it perfectly. The thing I dont know about was whther talking him into folding was good or not. I was certain I was ahead but there are 16 cards that either beat me or scare me into checking behind on the river. Thats 1/3 of the time I either lose or cant win any more money.

There are 6 cards (either 4 aces and 2 kings or 2 aces and 4 kings), 4 tens, 2 nines and 2 fours. Thats are horrible cards on the river. I just wanted the hand over with. Maybe Im just a wuss, but that was my reasoning and the thing about this hand that I question.
