Unknown Program Trying to Access Email ???

Postby T-Rod » Sat Feb 17, 2007 7:58 am

I use Microsoft Outlook for everything (email, calendar, etc.)

When I open OUtlook I get this little pop up box that says another program is trying to access the email addresses you have in Outlook and do I want to allow this and for how long. It warns it might be a virus. I've only seen before when I had PT do a pop import.

I've not installed any new programs lately.

My antivirus is update and I just did a scan and no viruses.

If I click "no" it just pops up again in 3 sec.

I've taken my exact same outlook file to another computer and no problem.

Any suggestions?

"#3 pencils and quadrille pads."
- Seymoure Cray (1925-1996) when asked what CAD tools he used to design the Cray I supercomputer; he also recommended using the back side of the pages so that the grid lines were not so dominant.

"Interesting - I use a Mac to help me design the next Cray."
- Seymoure Cray (1925-1996) when he was told that Apple Inc. had recently bought a Cray supercomputer to help them design the next Mac.

Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

I have Trend Micro and it showed no viruses after a scan.

I downloaded EWITO and it found a bunch of junk by nothing it said was infected.

I'm just going to reinstall Windows and wipe the slate clean...Blllah

Good ideas guys. Thanks.
