116 - pretty interesting test. I think I outthought myself on a bunch of the questions based on the descriptions of the players. Like the last one - you think he has a flush, but oh no, he is the best player in New York. So freaking what.
I was curious what answers they wanted for a couple of the questions , so I took it a couple of times entering different responses. Hopefully we can get a couple of other people to do this. You don't need to actually enter a valid email, just see how the scores change.
Spoilers in white
22) 9 handed. You limp in late middle position with:
2s 2c
Six players in a limped pot see a flop of:
Qs Jc 2d
It is checked to you and you bet the pot. A Player behind you raises, and everyone folds back to you. You re-raise all-in and the re-raiser instantly calls. What does he most likely hold? He's an average tight aggressive player.
AQ
QJ
KT
QQ
JJ
QJ is the right answer apparently, so I guess they are thinking TA players don't limp big pairs and dont call all-ins instantly with draw or TP. Makes sense I guess.
35) 10/20 NL. Approx $2,200 stacks. UTG limps. You are in middle/late position with:
Ad Qs
You raise to $80. The button calls and the BB calls. UTG calls.
Flop is: Ah Th Qd
UTG leads out for $200 into the $330 pot. You raise to $600. The others fold and the UTG player moves all-in for $1,900 total.
The all-in player limps too much pre-flop but is not out of line with raising pre-flop, is generally passive post flop, and seems to be an inexperienced player.
What should you do?
Call
Fold
They wanted you to call. In real life, I call instantly there, but then they were like the guy is so passive. And UTG? Would he really play a draw like that? Talked myself into a fold. Damn them.
