flop flush against fish ($100NL 6-max)

Postby ua1176 » Tue Feb 13, 2007 11:49 pm

hand 1: $100NL 6-max background- villain is a big fish. he just won about 60bbs off me when he runner-runnered a flush against my TPGK turned Top 2. i just won it all back and then some when i raised QQ, he called. flop 644. he check/calls. turn Q. he check/calls. river he open-shoves and shows 66. onto the hand-

UTG limps. i raise [Th][8h] from CO to $4. Fishy calls in BB, UTG calls. UTG has $80, Fish-villain has $150, and i cover.

flop: [Ah][Kh][9h]
pot: $12

check, check, i bet $10. villain-fish calls, UTG folds.

turn: [Td]
pot: $32

check, i bet $28. villain calls.

river: [4s]
pot: $88

villain leads $50. same line as when he flopped the boat in the background hand. so IMO he has a pretty serious hand here. he has just under $60 left after this river bet. call, raise, or fold?

more info-

when i say fish, i mean fish. especially with regard to preflop hand selection. any Q-x suited is certainly in his preflop range.

and he does not play his mediocre hands like this. he bets pot w/ TP and bets tiny with 2nd or 3rd pair.

I think he also flopped the flush but I'm all in anyway, there are plenty of lower flushes he can have and an outside chance of other hands you beat.

When I play a patient and relaxed game I win - that simple.

"Interesting - I use a Mac to help me design the next Cray."

it's only $60 more so i would go go go. fish could have crazy J-high flush, but he could also call w/ anything. your hand is way disguised.

also, this isn't really the same line as before b/c he led for 1/2 pot here.

ok clearly im just retarded. cause i just flat called the river bet. and in hindsight i agree that this is a pretty obvious river shove for me.

he did have [Qh][6h] though. so i guess i lucked out. or didn't luck out. depending on how you look at it.
